Rain Rain Go away...

Well, the month of June has been a challenging one to say the least. Hugh tore his achiles tendon the end of May, had surgery in early June and is on crutches with various casts till the end of July. The same day Hugh was in surgery, we got a confirmed diagnosis of Celiac Disease for Gavin. (where you need to eat Gluten free) so life has been tough, challenging and hard to be honest! Not having Hugh to help do the simple things he normally does because of the wondeful dad he is has been hard! The Lawn, the trash, just getting a kid dressed are now all on me! We have had many people offer to help, don't get me wrong I am thankful and grateful...and on top of that it seems rain has just come to stay!!! Today at church a friend sang the song "Praise you in the storm" I"m sure many of you had heard of it, but it's a great song and was a reminder, that even in the "storms" of life, it's important to praise God because it's in those times we NEED HIM! It has been easy for me to get overwhelmed and frustrated with life's circumstances now, but I know that God is bigger then Celiac and Torn Achilles Tendons and I choose to praise HIM in this storm. I have a lot to look forward to next week, my best friend and her family are coming to visit, (6 kids between us all under one roof, how fun!!! ) and we are welcoming a brand new nephew into our family on Tuesday!!!! I"m so excited...!!
After the rain let up yesterday we just had plain old simple fun in the rain.. here are some photos.

Why they think it was fun to put their heads in puddles is beyond me..

Running through!

We wheeled Hugh around!

Yes, I"m aware she has no shorts on.. long story..

This was too priceless not to put in, and it's G -rated, no cheeks showing Although as I re-look at it, I think you can see a "stream" sorry! But when Nature calls w/ a 5 year old, nature calls!

22 months...

Life is been CRAZY, I will post more on our life later... but for right now... whose 22 month girl is this anyway? Certainly not My daughter... no, she can't be turning 2 in 2 months.. that would be crazy! Sigh....Life is crazy right now, but life is good as I look into the eyes of my 22 month old...
