SNOW!

SNOW SNOW SNOW! And a LOT of it... here are some shots of the recent storm... and yes, our house looks SO dingy next to the clean white snow.. ugh.. have to get it painted this summer! It doesn't look nearly that bad in person, but when you see it here.. it does! Oh well.. still pretty snow!

January snow fun

So I have to admit all this snow is fun! Not fun to shovel and we have officially decided to go halfsies on a snow blower with our neighbors, but it is fun! Fun making snow cream, snowmen, sledding , igloos etc! I guess it brings me back to my youth! We have already maxed out snow days so I know that part is no fun as they will start taking away days from spring break, but it's fun to have my big boy home (most of the time!!!) The only problem is I love to bake with them in the snow. Gavin and Morgan like it a lot more then Brayden so we've been baking away.. not good for winter weight!!! OH well! Here are some pics of some of our snow fun!

Ice Storm

So I"m not sure I'm a fan of all this ice, although no school is fun, but it is pretty to look at. Kids had off yet again today, although I think they could of got away with a delay. Here are some shots of a tree (our neighbors birch - that fell in our yard)

Christmas time....

What a great Christmas! Thoroughly exhausting, but fun! We are still opening things and playing with them!
I have lots of pics but here is a fav from Christmas eve! Could we be possibly be getting to the age of all three kids looking at the camera?? Who Hoo!

Puppy love...

yeah... we got a puppy.... it all started on Black Friday when Hugh said to me.."You know how you always say we're not spontaneous people? Let's be spontaneous and get a puppy today!" WHAT? In his defense he has been looking at them for over a month.. and I told him next summer... yeah, look who won that one! Anyway, we have now added a 3 month old Yellow Lab named Sawyer. He is really sweet, follows us in every room (any room with a door is kept closed to hopefully limit the area of accidents) but he will sit right outside the door!!! He's very cute. He's also BIG.. I think he will be a big one.. he goes to the Vet tomorrow, so not sure how much he will weigh. The kids have been GREAT with him, playing etc. Now I just have to get them to clean up after him....:) Welcome to this crazy family Sawyer!

Here and there..

Nothing much to post except, we have one kid with a double ear infection, one who had a fever this morning, and all with runny noses and coughs! (including myself!) Tis' the season I guess! Tired of it!! We did do an overnight in Lancaster, (a few pics from below are from there) was fun but always work! Thankful though to get away and not cook/clean! Looking forward to the holidays!!!
