Gavin's 3rd B-day!

We had a great time celebrating Gavin's Birthday! We celebrated Sat. , April4th with the fam, and then on his actual day he got to pick his meal (meatloaf) and we made cupcakes (fun project w/ 3 kids....ugh) and gave him gifts from us, since he got a ton on Sat. Some of his gifts included a toy saxaphone, electric drum set, a "bass" as he calls it, but a kid electric guitar is what it is, a Backyardigans DVD (which was his theme he picked) clothes (I asked for!) bubbles, a harmonica, and Imagination movers DVD, the Ice Cream maker Play doh- fun!~ We had a great time!

The cake.. I was lazy this year, and ordered one... i really enjoy making them, but it was a busy week.... he loved it, even though it wasn't home -made!

Random thoughts..

Well, Gavin's surgery went well yesterday. He was a trooper! He did'nt walk yesterday much, but has got around a bit today. He is still on pain meds so as we slow them down, hopefully he will continue to improve. Thanks for all your prayers! On a sad note, we learned this week a dear friend of ours went home to be with the Lord. A Mid-40s year old man who loved the Lord died instantly from a massive heart attack leaving behind a wife and 4 kids. It has made us think how life is so short and we truely have no idea when God will call us home. It has made me want to always make sure my loved ones know how much I love them! We know the Lord gives and the Lord takes away, but through it all he is with us. I learned today Alvins' skin, corneas and bones are all going to be used to help other people- what an amazing gift! We will miss him dearly, but find rest in knowing we will be see him on the other side. We'll attend his Memorial Service on Saturday to celebrate his life. They are an amazing family whose lives will never be the same again, but God has a plan for them.

Love this little guy! He will have hernia surgery next Tuesday.... AND... we just found out he can't bend his right thumb- there are no creases on it! CRAZY... even CRAZIER is my brother can't either... genetics? coincidence? who knows!!!!

My cutie...I seriously have WAYYYYYYYYYYY to many pics of this kid... but can you really have "too many" pics of your kids? Nah...

I love this little face.. she just woke up, so she looks kind of sleepy, and her hairs a mess, but she likes to sit in the bay window and wait for daddy...so cute!

Here and there....

We have been keeping busy willing spring to come. We went to the Please Touch Museum with friends on Monday- I was a bit nervous- 2 adults and 5 kids, but we great! The kids had fun and no one got lost! Today we went to Terhune Orchards and just hung out, ran, and attempted to tire everyone out. We found out Morgan is deathly afraid of the geese, and turkeys that trot around, unlike her brothers who were chasing the poor things! Wow.. it's March!

Well, I can't believe March is here! I got back from our Church's Women's Retreat at Sandy Cove yesterday! It was a great time! We were all geared up for Gav's hernia surgery today, but he has a nasty nasty cough/cold and we got a big snow storm, so it has been rescheduled for March 24th. The kids played in the snow a bit today, and then I came in with the little 2 and Brayden stayed out and "helped" Daddy shovel! We are doing well otherwise, but anxious to get rid of colds/coughs and just the yuckiness of winter! Please come soon Spring! Here are some random pictures!

Just shot some photos today and put them in Black and White thought I would share. I'm so excited to have a new niece or nephew in July to photograph! (we find out tomorrow what it'll be!~) I have seen some great newborn shots and it's got me excited! (thanks MM & J !) No Newborns in this house, but some pretty cute kids!

Winter time fun...

Even though it's winter and I feel like we're in the house so much, I have not had time to post any new pics or give any updates! Anyway, we have been keeping busy. The kids have enjoyed the snow and on really cold days I bring the snow in! They have a ball! Here are some random pics I thought I would share with you all!


It wasn't too cold this day, and we just needed to get out! So we bundled up and brought lunch to the park! It was however, MUDDY.. but that's what washers are for! Right?
